FOOTSCRAY TUESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
A severely undermanned Aryam suffered their first loss of the season after going five matches undefeated as they were thrashed 11-2 by Brazuka in a rampant domination by the Brazilians. Phoenix Nights almost pulled off a miraculous comeback but were denied the win by the Diaz Brothers who held on by the skin of their teeth for a 5-4 win while United Flair were in the driver's seat from half time to overrun The Kents by 3 goals after a 2-2 halftime scoreline.
FOOTSCRAY WEDNESDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Sexual Healing recovered from their Grand Final hangover last week to record a 6-5 enthralling win over a classy White Tails who were determined to go two games undefeated. Blue Panthers were too good for last season's Division 2 Premiers, W.F.B by 6 goals to 4 as were the Futsoldiers over The Devils in an identical scoreline. Real Cancun FC fell to the mighty Footscray Reds who were victorious by 5 goals while Bust A Move recorded their first win against Lucky Strike who play W.F.B in the next round.
FOOTSCRAY THURSDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
An absolute nailbiter was played between the boys of iUnited and the might of Inter-Me-Nan. Top-of-the-table Inter's early first half lead was turned into a deficit in the second half and iUnited seemed to have won the game 6-5 with a minute to go but a defiant Inter-Me-Nan produced an equaliser with 40 seconds left and then followed it up with the winning goal with 20 seconds left to steal victory in the dying seconds of the match. In other games, the Shaolin Strikers and The Wanderers played a 5-5 draw after the Shaolin Strikers had built an early lead only for the men in red to launch a fightback and clawed back enough goals to share the 4 points while The Shaggers felt the power of the Victoria Lions in more ways than one to the tune of an 8-4 loss while The Plum-ers staged a fantastic 3-2 win over CD Fas.
ELWOOD MONDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The Prahran Boys are a power to be reckoned with after disposing of the top teams in previous weeks and the English Geezas this week to the tune of 19-4; they now face Israel FC next week, who won 13-8 in their match, in what is anticipated to be a ripper of a match. Hawaii 5-0 bounced back from their midseason slump by downing Massive Attack 6-5 as did the Black Swan Dips who outclassed Flair For Futsal by 2 goals and The All Stars accounted for the Trouties 11-1 in a one-sided affair.
ELWOOD WEDNESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The penultimate round of the season saw The Berks prevail over Team Barloworld 6-2 as did Neverfail over Snivlers Reunited 8-3 while London Irish made it 15 wins from 15 rounds after overrunning Oz-UK 9-2. The King of Tonga produced a dominant display of futsal against FC EVS who were hapless to thwart a 12-1 defeat and The Biggest Losers turned out to be winners against Gary Was Wrong in a 10-6 win.

FOOTSCRAY TUESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The Fulham v Phoenix Nights match was a hotly contested match marred by 2 red cards; despite this, Fulham were able to run out 7-2 winners over the Phoenix Nights who simply ran out of legs. United Flair dealt with a late scare by the Reservoir Dogs by scoring 3 unanswered goals to win 8-5 after their opponents drew level 5-5 with only 5 minutes left while the Diaz Brothers upset a stunned Brazuka 6-5 in an amazing game. The Kents went down fighting to Aryam 6-2 after Aryam regained key players this week who were missing in their 11-2 thumping last week.
FOOTSCRAY WEDNESDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Futsal at its best was on display as the Footscray Reds took on Sexual Healing in their round 3 clash. Both teams were goal-for-goal and save-for-save but time ran out at 10-9 in favour of the Reds to end a pulsating match which now see the Reds on top of the league ladder. Blue Panthers and White Tails shared the 4 points in a low-scoring 1-1 match which left both teams rueing their missed opportunities as did Real Cancun FC and Futsoldiers who also drew, but with a 4-4 scoreline.
FOOTSCRAY THURSDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The Shaggers came from behind to snatch a 8-5 win over CD Fas after CD Fas had a 3 goal buffer over the men in fluoro but were unable to withstand an onslaught of goals which eventually saw them unable to recover. Pinksilver FC took it right up to Inter-Me-Nan but just fell short 8-6 after Inter held firm and steadied with late goals to put the match out of reach for Pinksilver. The Victoria Lions were too good for Portugool by 3 goals who have lost their last three matches while The Plum-ers and Shaolin Strikers fought it out in a low scoring 2-0 victory to the Plum-ers in a match wrought with great defending and minimal shots on goal.
ELWOOD MONDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The Prahran Boys's run of knocking off the top teams is finally over after Israel FC defeated them in an unbelievablely technical and skilled 9-7 match. Massive Attack were unable to match The All Stars and went down 8-5 while Team Undecided defeated Hawaii 5-0 by 3 goals in a 6-3 scoreline. A red card to the British & Irish Lions 5 minutes into the game saw them reduced to 4 players for the entirety of the match and consequently, were completely dominated by the Black Swan Dips 15-4; had it not been for the red card, an exciting and close futsal match was in store for us but alas, it was not the case.
ELWOOD WEDNESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Final round of the season saw 10-3 and 9-3 victories to The King of Tonga and Team Barloworld, respectively to cap off rather inconsistent seasons for both teams. Melbourne Celtic prevailed over the Egg Chasers by 4 goals while fourth placed Oz-UK were too good for FC EVS 10-5 and The Emley Moors ended the regular season on a disappointing note going down by 11 goals to the Biggest Losers and will hope to not perform a repeat against The King of Tonga in their semi-final next week. Congratulations to all teams for an outstanding season, finals playoffs next week and the week after will prove to be a mouth-watering affair.

FOOTSCRAY TUESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Brazuka destroyed a vulnerable and undermanned United Flair 11-3 to steal second spot on the ladder while Fulham simply outplayed the Diaz Brothers scoring a classy 9-5 win with some fantastic goals. Despite a gallant effort from the Reservoir Dogs, Aryam's attack split the Dogs' defence too many times and as a result, outscored their opponents by 3 goals with the match ending 6-3.
FOOTSCRAY WEDNESDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Footscray Reds stamped their authority on the league with a fourth straight victory, this time over the Futsoldiers who were hapless to stop a barrage of shots and consequently, goals. The Blue Panthers outplayed The Devils 7-4 in an entertaining match of futsal while a penalty in the dying seconds of the match between Bust A Move and Sexual Healing while the scores were locked at 6-6 saw last season's Premiers lose in dramatic style and now sit 9th on the league ladder. In other matches, W.F.B struggled to find rhythm against White Tails going down 8-5 while Real Cancun FC had no trouble finding theirs in a dominant 20-2 win over newcomers, Renewtek.
FOOTSCRAY THURSDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Inter-Me-Nan continued their 8-game winning streak by pushing aside The Wanderers 11-2 and now have a nice 8 point buffer over their nearest threat, iUnited, who had lost 3-1 earlier that night after being unable to penetrate a watertight CD Fas defence topped by an airtight goalkeeper who made some crucial saves throughout the course of the match. Portugool ended their losing streak by defeating the Shaolin Strikers in an enthralling 5-4 match which saw nerves be tested as the clock wound down to 00:00 with almost nothing separating the two teams.
ELWOOD MONDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Boomshankas's 5-match winning streak was put to an end by the mighty Prahran Boys whos passing and footwork was simply outstanding and deservedly won 11-5. Israel FC claimed #1 on the league table by downing The All Stars 13-7 while the English Geezas continued their push for a Division 1 finals spot by toppling Flair For Futsal 5-3. Black Swan Dips were brutal in their 8-1 whitewash of Elwood Victory who are now only in the top 4 due to their percentage while Hawaii 5-0's 11-2 win over Trouties see them a chance of making the Division 2 finals with only 2 rounds left before season's end.
ELWOOD WEDNESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
London Irish's dominance of the league for the entire year was not enough to stop Oz-UK from scoring a massive 6-5 upset victory in the Division 1 semi-final. With both teams neck and neck thorughout the entirety of the match, Oz-UK kicked away in the second half and London Irish were not able to recover in time. A red card to The King of Tonga proved costly as they lost 5-4 to The Emley Moors in their semi-final clash while The Biggest Losers and Bo Selecta put on a great fustal show in a bloodrushing 7-5 game which saw The Biggest Losers become the biggest winners. On next week's Grand Final menu, The Emley Moors take on Gary Was Wrong in a tantalizing finale while Oz-UK and The Biggest Losers go head-to-head in the Division 1 final in what is expected to be an absolute mouth-waterer!

FOOTSCRAY TUESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Another undermanned United Flair played a spirited Diaz Brothers but after full time, a 5-5 draw was on the table after some nervy moments for both teams in a great battle of skill and goalkeeping. Brazuka outplayed the Reservoir Dogs 10-5 in a very attacking style of futsal while Aryam and Fulham got up close and personal in Aryam's heated 6-5 win.
FOOTSCRAY WEDNESDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Real Cancun FC and White Tails shared the 4 premiership points after both teams failed to find the winning goal after they were locked at 7-7 while the Blue Panthers suffered their first loss of their campaign at the hands of the Futsoldiers who overran them 6-3. Renewtek made a huge improvement from last week and gave The Devils a good scare before The Devils were able to kick away to an unretrievable 12-8 lead.
FOOTSCRAY THURSDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
In an absolute ripper of a match, The Shaggers defeated Inter-Me-Nan in what proved to be an intense match. After kicking away to a 4-1 lead, The Shaggers were forced to defend after Inter launched an onslaught to reduce the deficit but were only able to scrape back one goal before some desperate and impenetrable defending prevented Inter from finding the back of the net. With the clock counting down, The Shaggers dealt Inter their first ever loss in their entire history at Footscray. In other games, iUnited stumbled yet again, this time to Victoria Lions who are proving themselves to be a package with a variety of talent and skill up their sleeve while CD Fas dealt Portugool a blow to their finals aspirations with a 6-3 win and Pinksilver FC denied the Shaolin Strikers a second victory after beating them 8-5.
ELWOOD MONDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The Prahran Boys eased off The All Stars in a hugely one-sided affair by downing them 18-4 while Massive Attack and the British & Irish Lions both scored wins by 5+ goals. Hawaii 5-0 were outplayed by Elwood Victory 9-2 who now climb to 3rd spot on the ladder with only one round remaining. Israel FC doubled Flair For Futsal's score of 6 goals to win 12-6 while The Demons launched a late comeback but wasted opportunities cost them a fairytale ending as Team Undecided held on 8-7.
ELWOOD WEDNESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
Gary Was Wrong were coming into their Division 2 Grand Final well rested after the 'no show' of the Berks last week. However, The Emley Moors were full of confidence after their hard working victory over the King of Tonga. In a tight and tense first half, goals were hard to come by but it was Gary Was Wrong who eventually opened the scoring with a good strike from outside the D. The Emley Moors then replied to even the ledger and it was now GAME ON in the Division 2 final. In the second half, Gary Was Wrong stepped it up a gear and Gary, for whom I was later informed is always wrong, seemed to be getting it right on this particular evening. His visionary, tigerish tackling, and sharp shooting swayed the final in his team's favour. Gary Was Wrong piled on the pressure, and the goals, to run out eventual winners in the end but The Emley Moors can hold their heads up high as they were beaten but defenitely not disgraced.
OZ-UK were brimming with confidence coming into this encounter after accounting for the much fancied London Irish in last week's semi-final. After causing one of the upsets of the season, it wasn't going to get any easier for OZ-UK as they faced a formidable outfit in The Biggest Losers, for whom have shown that they are anything but this season. Early in the first half, it seemed like everything was going to script as The Biggest Losers opened the scoring to break the deadlock. Credit to OZ-UK, they didn't let their heads drop and replied almost immediately with a well taken strike that left the impressive Biggest Losers goalkeeper, Chris, helpless. Soon after, controversy descended on the Elwood College Complex when Chris elected to pick up a back pass from one of his team mates, leaving the referee with no option but to point to the penalty spot. OZ-UK had the perfect opportunity to take a lead and psychological edge going into the half time break but it wasn't to be. The agile Biggest Losers keeper flung himself to his left, and parried the ball to safety. At half time, we had a game that was worthy of a Division 1 final and it was unlikely that it could get any better...but it did! Both teams seemed to employ similar long ball tactics in the second term but defences were well on top and dealt comfortably with the aerial battles that ensued. The Biggest Losers had one had on the title when they regained the lead midway through the second half but OZ-UK's fighting spirit was not to be denied, after they drew level for the second time from a well worked move. The 36min were up and it was through to extra time (penalties if required) to decide the fate of these two teams, one way or the other. So who (if anyone) was going to be the hero and get the golden goal? Step up to the plate, James from OZ-UK. With 7 seconds of first half extra-time remaing, James lashed an unstoppable shot in the top corner of the net that left The Biggest Losers heartbroken on a dramatic night of finals futsal that saw Oz-UK snatch the Division 1 Grand Final in epic style.

Brazuka were too good for Fulham by 3 goals as was the Diaz Brothers over Phoenix Nights by 5. The Kents bravely went down to the Reservoir Dogs who had shook off memories of their loss last week.

ELWOOD MONDAY DIVISION 1 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
In a huge upset, Trouties overran the English Geezas 7-6 much to the delight of the Prahran Boys who had been eagerly hoping for a Trouties win in order for them to sneak into the top 4. The floodgates opened for the Boomshankas in a percentage-boosting 15-4 win while Massive Attack narrowly missed out on finals action despite a massive 15-3 win over Flair For Futsal. Israel FC cemented their #1 position on the ladder with a 9-4 win over Team Undecided and Black Swan Dips assured themselves of a division 1 finals berth after beating The All Stars 11-7.
ELWOOD WEDNESDAY DIVISION 2 FUTSAL LEAGUE:
The new season saw the return of TSK and the debut of an array of new teams. Team Barloworld and Dave FC, formally known as the Egg Chasers, shared 7-6 victories over their respective opponents while The Biggest Losers showed Melbourne Celtic why they were finals material last season and Gary Was Wrong gave the 12345's a taste of why they were division 2 premiers last season as did Oz-UK over Agentina. Athletic Undecided and Snivlers Reunited battled it out for the 4 points but an adamant Athletic Undecided emerged victorious 6-5, the only new team to claim victory in round 1.

Brazuka and Aryam were involved in a very technical game of futsal as the top 2 teams battled it out for top spot. In the end, the skill and power of the Brazilians overcame Aryam in a wonderful 4-2 match which saw some fantastic goals. Diaz Brothers had a tough time weathering the Phoenix Nights storm but survived 7-3 while United Flair's win over The Kents was overshadowed by a finger injury to the goalkeeper of The Kents after he went to save a booming shot.

White Tails and Futsoldiers were engaged in a tough battle for the 4 points and resulted in White Tails prevailing 4-3 in an exciting and fast-paced match.
