Ashburton, Glen Iris, Camberwell Indoor Soccer

Established in 2006, Australian Indoor Sports Futsal League offers people of all ages the opportunity to play soccer in a weather proof venue, all year round. Futsal is the worlds fastest growing sport, with Men's, Women's, Mixed and Junior Indoor Soccer Leagues available for joining.

Originating in South America in the 1930's, there were originally two versions of Futsal being played. A master was developed in 1936, and the first published rules were produced. Futsal is an abbreviation of the phrase Futebol de Salao (Portuguese) or Futbol Sala (Spanish), meaning soccer in a large room.

AIS currently have multiple Indoor Sports Futsal venues located in inner Melbourne. Ashburton is one of these locations, which neighbours the suburbs of Glen Iris and Camberwell. Ashburton has Men's and Mixed leagues running Monday - Thursday. Each Futsal venue employees highly experienced, professional Indoor Soccer referees.

Futsal is now a sport played in over sixty countries, with professional leagues played in numerous countries. Futsal is a fantastic way to be social, stay active, have fun and learn or improve your soccer skills.
